SFM 6s476 has just been completed!
This rare original numbers matching beauty has reclaimed it's youthful appearance
and performance and is ready for another caretaker to carry the torch.
White with blue side stripes, Shelby GT350 #SFM 6S476 was sent to S&C Ford
dealership in S.F. for prep in early Feb 1966 before being pressed into rental duty.
It is reported to be one of only 18 Hertz Rent-a-Racers
to be clad in this color combination!
The talented experts at Evans Autobody massaged the solid original body
before applying a modern quality two stage finish in it's legendary original classic
color of Wimbledon White.
476's Original high performance 289 cubic inch V-8 engine has less than 250 miles
since a complete professional rebuild.
Original automatic transmission has a fresh rebuild, and shifts are very positive
and crisp.
Original Modine radiator has been re-cored.
Original Owner's Manual and copies of original shipping invoices, and many more
valuable items of interest will be included with sale.
Interior painted surfaces have been refinished. Standard black interior features
the car's original upholstery and soft trim. Carpet and door panels have been replaced.
The
fact it retains such a large amount of it's original interior stands as a testimonial
for the care this car was given throughout the majority of it's existence.

Solid and rust free undercarraige was cleaned, refinished and nicely detailed.

In keeping with the original theme, reproduction parts were used sparingly throughout.
